Empty Chairs 36x36

I am posting this painting again....This work brought and me as lot of joy After the competition loss I felt like I couldn't look at this painting the same way anymore. I did learn so much about myself(the good the bad and the ugly) as well as about complementary colors and composition
I got a call today that this painting was sold, from a gallery I just became a part of called "Gallery Mosaic"
All the doubts I had are healed .....not for always, but for today anyway:) Posted by Picasa

Congratulations on the sale Amber.

I love the windows (wall?) in this piece. I love geometric shapes and the colors are wonderful.

A sale always trumps getting into a competition.

I really like the contrasts in this piece: the warm darker colours and tones in the foreground and the light at the back. And I really like the way that the place, the space is the subject.

It is funny how not succeeding at a competition has a dread hold over us, and yet it is such a subjective thing. As has been said above: sales are trumps!
