I'm interested that you have repositioned the central focus more towards the middle of the canvas (or the image as you want it) - and yet the vibrancy and movement is palpable. Great. I love this one.
Amber-Thanks very much for stopping by my blog to say hello ! I love your work, especially the giant faces you do.This piece imparticular is really interesting. What paint did you use for this one, acrylics, oils or a mixture of paints ? I like how you intended for something else to happen with this piece but, it did it's own thing.I think using the palette knife for this one is what made it even more interesting.I agree I like this cropped version, although, I haven't seen the uncropped. Anyway, I'm happy to know you have a blog. I looked after the competition last year to see if you had a website but, I only got the Heron Bay Gallery.I will keep you bookmarked so I can visit you now. Hope to be able to be a part of this years competition, I'm going to try but, I'm also busy with preparing for my solo exhibition at The UnCommon Gallery on October 14th. Take good care Amber. :)

J'aime vraiment ce tableau et j'adore les orchidées. I would pay a lot of money to have this on my walls.

Gorgeous! All the lovely subtle detail and energy makes me wish I could see it "for real" for all the brushstroke textures.
Thank you, coming from someone with an eye for composition like yourself that means a lot
This painting was done with a painting knife
Your flowers are very good. I can't wait to see more of them. Must be the fresh Canadian air brings out the wonderful talent. :) That and hard work!
Thank you and thanks for visiting my blog sometimes hard work, sometimes fun
