This is an attempt I made at Abstract art last year

I found it didn't come easy for me and I realized that it's not decision one can make to be an abstract artist. Either you are or you are not

This painting titled "Silver lining" just recently finished and sold is 3feet squared,done with spatula.she is drying in my living room waiting her new home and I'm hoping my kids don't get to her first
I don't have a studio space so I leave my things in the living room and sometimes I find my two year old with one of my brushes about to fix one of my works.
There he is with a big smile ready to paint like mommy.I'm careful to not get nevous or upset.I don't want them to see my art as a negative thing.
I feel fortunate to have a career that permits me to stay home with my kids.

No art from me today, only a glimps of art for the future now because I'm french I can never remember if there is an e on the end of the word futur.I catch hell from both sides meaning my spelling in either language is not impecable. Although I love words and literature but I spelled literacy with 2 t's isn't that a pun

these children are going to kindergarden with my daughter next fall and I was giving a demonstration on making colors.They loved it !
They all made blackish purple mud Great fun!

well today is he search for new subject
I think i'll ask the same girl to do a session of photos again under the trees

These two paintings were done from photos that I overlooked
this one is my favorite the judge picked the other one as 2nd place in the provincial competition
I have never wanted to paint the same thing twice,but this one i'd paint over and over again if it weren't against my ethics

This painting is another knife work title "kitchen party"

It's a bit old ,but i have nothing left to enter for juried show coming up

I usually do well , but as time goes by and I sell more work I feel strong enough to face refusal

I've been thinking about underpainting in colors and how much I like that and how much I like to see that the canvas or board has not been entirely covered

I think this is what i'll learn next using that underpainting as a middle ground and not covering everything with thick paint

this painting was done last fall same technique using oil like charcole rag painting removing with rag and solvant

it's dimension is 36x36

I entered this in a maritime juried competition she won 2nd place in mixed media

There was some dispute about whether it was considered mixed media or not

oil over acrylic ??Anyone have any ideas

This painting was created after seeing a traveling Rodin show in halifax

Seeing these sculptures in person i understood the overexagerated size being a challenge I think this was when i started painting portaits in large dimensions and my painting became more confident

Well this blogging thing I don't quite get
I want to share my art and see other art , but i don't understand why i should think anyone would be interested in what I have to say
or expect response
i've been searching blogs and finding that it's like a reality television show
Area of interest are mearly the chanel you'll select
Ok so today i am also puzzled by grocery items they say you could win if the thing makes a moo a laugh ?? whatever
When you want to puchase milk because you need to , it's annoying when you loose only to be disappointed (mildly disappointed mind you)when you didn't even want to win in the first place


I'll be completely honest

this is my latest work it's called "color of acadia"

this painting is done again over gold so it has a nice changing quality depending on the light it gets.

it was painted a few months ago I have changed my style quite a lot since then i now use paiting knife and bright colors

i find the painting knife to be challenging,controling it is more difficult somtimes loooks messy,but what the heck!

This work is also done in oil applied with rag over gold spray 36'x40'

i find this technique gives the painting altered appearance depending on the light

This painting is 36x36 inches done with traditional painting technique title ''24'' meaning my model's age

I 'm learning a lot about blogs I guess it's the same as art you need to experience it to undferstand it fully

my interest really lies in decoding ar reading I might say contemporary art
